Like fire
Entering into you, the rhythm
of your night-heart beats out my
belief in god for love, I taste your blood
I breathe your release, our words burn
away, and we’re bound together
forever, to dissolve then to rise, like fire
to burn pain away, curling in the cooling
coal-bright air, to shiver time into dust
to shiver us into dust
